Additive Manufacturing Services
From Ideation to Industrialization
Jabil is changing the way things are made by bringing production rigor and global scale to additive manufacturing. Reimagine products, rethink business and reinvent manufacturing, together.
Jabil Additive is a flexible, high-velocity partner that meets specialized materials requirements, helping customers improve how they design, make and deliver products. From ideation to industrialization, we enable design freedom, accelerated time-to-market and ensure compliance to industry certifications.
Our Minnesota-based Innovation Center is at the forefront of the industry, formulating and producing high-quality materials. Jabil Additive is improving existing polymers and creating new ones. Our chemists, material scientists and additive manufacturing experts are developing filaments, powders, pellets and custom materials featuring unique and enhanced properties.
According to a March 2021 Jabil survey on 3D Printing Technology Trends, additive manufacturing adoption is increasing significant, especially in the production of critical manufacturing jigs, fixtures and tooling, as well as moving prototypes into production and scaling the manufacturing of production parts. Nearly 50% of the respondents to the survey expect their use of 3D printing for production parts to double over the next three to five years. Additionally, 90% of those polled use plastics and polymers for 3D printing, up from 74% just two years ago.
Engineered Materials
We begin with materials that align with each customer’s requirements, and work together to validate how these requirements are applied for specific industries and applications. Whether you are planning to product thousands of products or a single prototype, it all start with the right material.
