Digital Health Technology Trends
A survey of digital health industry stakeholders
Digital healthcare now reaches across nearly every major medical technology category: remote patient monitoring, connected diagnostics, surgical systems, orthopedics and drug delivery, along with the software and AI layers increasingly running alongside them. What ties them together is connectivity — the ability to capture, analyze and act on health data across an ecosystem of patients, providers and payers.
Jabil has tracked this shift through biennial surveys since 2018. For the 2026 edition, SIS International Research surveyed 208 mid-to-senior decision-makers at organizations with existing or planned digital healthcare products, across the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific. Five survey cycles give a longitudinal read on how development priorities, manufacturing requirements and commercialization strategies shift as digital technology works its way deeper into devices and care delivery.
Half of respondents now say their digital health solutions are in production — the highest share in the history of the series. At the same time, integrating with the wider healthcare ecosystem has become the leading connected-care challenge, and confidence in internal AI readiness has fallen even as agreement on AI’s impact approaches unanimity.
